Shankh-Sri Lakshmi Shankh
(Right-sided
Conch Shell)
The
glory of a right-sided conch shell has been described in Hindu Scriptures.
“In whatever home you find white right-sided
conch shells, happiness and well-being shall always be there. Goddess Lakshmi lives
there. In whatever home one uses sandalwood, camphor,flowers,rice and other
items to offer prayers regularly that home shall be fortunate and prosperous
like Krishna.”
It
is believed that whoever owns a pair of right-sided conch
shells shall always hold exalted positions and be successful in whatever he
does. Misery and failure keep away. Daily reverence and methodical offering of
prayers to it shall bring success and fulfilment. When it is placed in a shop,
it promotes success in business. At home, it attracts wealth and happiness.
Placed with foodgrains, it promotes prosperity. It is truly a symbol of glory
and prosperity.
In
the Lakshmi Samhita, it is described as capable of
attracting wealth and success. Maharishi Vishwamitra notes
that to attract prosperity and hapiness, this conch shell is
incomparable.
Maharishi Markanday has explained that on all occasions when one prays toLakshmi,
the right-sided conch (DakshinaVarti Shankh) shell gives ample testimony
of its ability to attract wealth and prosperity. To get rid off
malefic planetery effects, evils and black magic. Just fill it with Ganges
water and sprinkle it on a person or in premises.
If a person’s moon is malefic or afflicted, then this
shankha/conch could be used to abhishek Shiv Linga. Pure water or Ganges water
should be filled in the conch and then abhishek of Shiv Linga should be done.
If the Shiv Linga is Narmadeshwar Shiv Linga it would improve the effects.
If a person is facing financial troubles or inability to
have good savings, the conch could be used to improve savings and generate
additional sources of income. The water of the Shanka is also good for improving
eye sight for which water kept in shankha over night should be used to wash
eyes.
If a person is excessively angry, the water kept in
Shankha over night should be given to such person to drink. It will have
magical effects.
The use of Sphatik mala could be made to worship this
shankha and mantra of Mahalakshmi should be chanted along with listening Shree
Sukta. It will provide good effects to the worshipper.
This shankha should be kept in the home and while going
for important work, have a look at it, bow towards it and you will be able to
increase chances of success.
The water kept overnight in this shankha also proves to
be good for stomach problems. Water should be kept overnight in Shankha and
then it should be consumed in morning empty stomach.
Dakshinavarti Shanka has thousands of other advantages.
Have this shankha in your house and increase prosperity and wealth. Worship Maa
Lakshmi and Shri Vishnu with full devotion and you will see the blessings of
this shankha.
