Divine Secrets of Gupt Navratri revealed

Date of Gupt navratri (Ashad) - 24th June 2017 to 02nd July 2017

Today I would like to dwell on the relevance of Gupt Navratri. There are many doubts in the minds of spiritual seekers about the significance of these navratri and how to do worship of Devi during these days. Through this post, I would discuss some of the important points relating to Gupt Navratri. People who are interested in tantra and have good knowledge of Tantra can use this period to get spiritual powers.
The term ‘Navratri’ is a sanskrit word which meant ‘nine nights’. During these days, the nine forms of Shakti is worshipped. Each day has its own significance. Navaratri is celebrated four times a year - they include the Ashad Navaratri, Ashwin Navaratri, Magh Navaratri and the Vasantha Navaratri. Of these, the Ashwin Navaratri and the Vasantha Navaratri of the Chaitra are best known to everyone. The other two Navaratris are known as "Gupt Navratri" because of them not being meant known to most people. They are primarily meant for sadhaks and those performing special, powerful tantrik rituals for Shatkarma Tantrik Prayog like Shantikaran, Vashikaran, Uchatan, Videshan, Stambhan and Maran. ‘Gupt’ means secret or hidden. Hence, secret Navratri is that time in a year where everything is performed secretly and prayers are offered to Maa Durga very privately. But, this secret worship brings results, a million times for the people who observe it.
During these auspicious days, ardent prayers are offered to Goddess Durga to seek her blessings. Along with Shri Durgasaptshati, Shrimad-Devi Bhagwat, Devi Mahatmya and other texts invoking Goddess Durga are also recited during these nine days. These are very auspicious days for tantriks (those who perform rituals) and sadhaks (those who meditate), as well as for those who wish to perform some specific rituals.
By keeping fasts, and chanting shlokas and mantras, the devotees show their regard for the Goddess. It is believed that during Navratri, the Goddess promptly heeds to the devotees' prayers and fulfils their wishes. She is worshipped in the three forms of the divine femininity: as the remover of vices, as the bestower of wealth and prosperity, and as the goddess of wisdom.

Story behind gupt navratri
It is stated in the Hindu texts that Vishwamitra and Vashishta (two tantriks) started doing Sadhana but their efforts went in vain as they were unable to receive the desired perfection. Hence, they found out about the time in the year where they could receive the desired results. The same period in today’s time is known as the Gupt Navratri, where one can secretly perform Puja and receive fruitful results. Since then, these nine days came to be devoted to worshiping Goddess Shakti privately, unlike the other two Navratras observed in the month of Chaitra and Sharda.

How to do puja during these nine days

Though the rituals of Navratri differ from region to region; however, some rituals will always remain the same throughout the country. The rituals to be performed during Gupt Navratri are:
