Worship Lord Krishna in true sense by taking care of Cows

Vedic seers locate 33 crores devi and devatas in cow. Milk of cow, Yoghurt, Ghee, Cow dung and urine are considered as most sacred for various purposes including its use in medicines.

Lord Krishna has many names which reflect His relationship to the cows. He is known as “Gopala” means “the protector of the cows”, and He is also famous throughout India as bala-gopala, “the child who protects the cows”. The very word “Govinda”, which is a famous name of Lord Krishna, means “one who brings satisfaction to the cows”.  Through this post, I urge all of you to please ensure that you give your contribution in any form (money, food, protection, medicines) to any organization you like for the protection and well being of cows which are being ignored in country like India which should have worshipped it. This will be the right way for you to worship Lord Krishna. I do not think any Krishna lover would tend to ignore cows because He himself said in Geeta that “In cows I am Kamadhenu cow.” Lord Krishna is delighted by any service to the cows no matter how trivial. He never forgets even a little done for the benefit of cows. Krishna is directly worshipped with the service of cows.

It is not possible in a small place such as this post to describe the benefits of cow for all of us. A cow provides us a lot for our welfare. First of all cow provides milk to us for which we regard cows like our mother also. Milk is a complete meal. From milk, ghee is prepared which is used for all religious ceremonies and our consumption also. Even cow dung and urine are purifying due to its sterilizing effect. It is used for medicinal purposes and it has been proved that these products provide immense benefits.

Lal Kitab and Significance of serving Cows
In Lal Kitab, cow is associated with Planet Venus. As a feminine planet, Venus has been regarded as the goddess of love, marriage, beauty and all worldly comforts. Venus represents that power of love which leads to the merger of two individual selves into one and rules the gentle and refined attributes of human life. Through serving cows, you can improve the benefits of Planet Venus in your horoscope and at the same time also minimize its negative impacts. Try to give first chapati of every meal you cook in your house to a cow. It will definitely improve position of Venus in your horoscope. You can also offer cow grass or at least take efforts to protect cows and ensure their well being. A small effort will go a long way in protection and well being of cows. Through this post, I would like to request every human being to take efforts to protect and ensure well being of cows especially those persons who are using cows for milking and other purposes. They leave cows on the street where they are forced to put their heads in garbage dumps for food. In this process they eat toxic and contagious waste which in turn affects their health.

Plight of cows
I have seen at various places that in spite of Hindu tradition of treating cow as the abode of 33 crores deities, people ignore them. I wonder how we can give brutal treatment to cow which is responsible for our well being. Even people who are rearing them use them as milk making machine. Majority of cows are administered Oxytocin or other hormone injections to raise body temperature and yield more milk. Thanks to the daily and extremely excessive use of the hormones, they develop cancers in udder which hang painfully. Illegal cow slaughter and business of beef is increasing. We do not realize that we all will have to suffer for all our wrong deeds. People who are involved in this practice would have to pay back for this sin in the coming time period because what we sow is that we reap. If we are able to provide good food and care to cows we will be able to have toxin free milk which would mean better health and it will also result in benefit to society through cow dung, cow urine and other medicinal products.

Ways through which we can take care of Cows
1.      People who have cows in their house should take care of cows by providing proper food in the form of hay, grain, silage or grass. This will not only help them in maintaining their health but would also increase milk production. Secondly it is necessary that proper vaccination and medical care is made available for cows. Do not ever ignore a cow if you are keeping one in your house. It will prove to be disastrous for your mental peace, health and wealth.
2.      Try to give first chapati you cooked in your house to a cow. Ensure that you do not give Chapati or food in polythene as cow may eat food along with polythene which may be dangerous to her.
3.      You can save some money from your regular income and then you can donate it to any agency you like which arranges for feeding of grass to cows. Alternatively you can donate in a genuine agency which takes care of cows and their food.

Hope I will be successful in motivating some persons to serve and take care of cows.
